What started as a local cabana, Taboo Ice Cream and Grill is now a restaurant to in which you can relax with good food and great company! Taboo showcases kooky tropical décor and offers a relaxing vibe. While they are known for their “famous” sandwiches and burgers, Taboo also offers a place to sit and relax over a cup of coffee. As a dog-friendly establishment, they welcome guests to bring along their four-legged friends! Taboo claims that “If one thing’s for certain, it’s that our guests will have a unique visit.” This sums up why we placed Taboo on our top list of new businesses. Lake House 13 is unique to the Lake of the Ozarks area, as it is not necessarily a new destination, but is a completely new facility. Due to a fire on February 27, 2018, Lake House 13 was a total loss. However, they were able to open for business within only 63 days of the start of their re-build. Visit this restaurant to eat on the water – they even have dock slips available for guests. Being right near a gas dock on the 13MM is a plus as well. If you are out for a ride on the lake, pull in to get gas and then head right on over to Lake House 13 for great food, a fun atmosphere, and you may even get to see some live music!
